I like to write, probably more then talking (which I actually don’t like to do that much really). Writing gives me a way to express myself, even if it’s just to read my own thoughts. I enjoy writing for other people, kids especially. I love children’s stories and even if I can’t write anything fit for print I enjoy the process.
It’s my belief that people think writing for kids is easy, that it’s not real writing. It’s actually harder than it looks. Only the great children’s books look easy because they are crafted by great writers. I’ve thought about writing a mystery novel or a book for young adults, but I just don’t have an interest in the subject matter. It’s hard to write about something you don’t really care about.
I hope to share my writing experiences in this blog, mixed with stuff about my kids, my day, my work (what aspiring writer doesn’t work another job), and anything else I can think of along the way. All these people and experiences in my life make me who I am and influence how and what I write. I’m always looking for the story in the the world around me.
I also like to write about things that go on in my family. Below are a links to some pieces I’ve enjoyed writing:
Articles I’ve written for the Yummymummyclub.ca:
Traditions not Toys for Christmas
What Makes a Delicious Daddy: A Recipe
Perhaps if I spent more time writing I might improve. And maybe one day I’ll produce something for all to read. And if not, heck, I’ll have fun trying. And anyone who wants to can come along for the ride.
Enjoy

Hi there,
I thought I can share this with you!
I am a writer as well but in my native language, unfortunately not English, if you need to succeed in writing you need to read as well, read very often, mostly literature, and do not quit writing, write and write, before I wrote my first novel I wrote about 1000 pages that to train my imagination, then I discarded them and started writing editing etc until finished the first novel, took me two years to finish.
